"Shinohara Maruyoshi Furin" is one of the two remaining wind chime artisans in Japan that continues the traditional
Edo-style glass wind chime making technique, dating back to the Edo period.
Edo wind chimes have been crafted since the Edo period, and at Shinohara Furin, a long-standing wind chime artisan, you
can experience the process of making and painting these unique wind chimes.
In the plan that offers a complete experience, you will have the opportunity to blow the glass and create your own original
wind chime before proceeding to the painting process. You will be guided by the artisans as you blow the glass for the
chime's ball-shaped component. After the glass has cooled, the mouth will be cut, allowing access to the interior of the
wind chime for the painting process.
The painting experience, which can be completed in a shorter time, allows you to paint your desired design on the inside of
the Edo wind chime prepared by Shinohara Maruyoshi Wind Chimes.
The Edo wind chimes, carefully crafted by skilled artisans, are adorned with beautiful patterns and make for perfect
Souvenirs and gifts.
