THE GATE HOTEL consider that the safety and well-being of our guests and staff members as the highest priority. We will continue our efforts and take all kinds of measures so that our guest can enjoy the experience in safe conditions, even in the prolonged situation of COVID-19.
Based on the guidelines indicated by All Japan Ryokan Hotel Association, Japan Ryokan & Hotel Association and Japan City Hotel Association (JCHA) on May 14 2020, THE GATE HOTEL will take the measures as follows to keep our own high-level standard of hygiene control.
■To secure the health and safety of our guests
・All guests will be requested to check temperature and sanitize hands, and to wear masks.
＜Check-In / Check-Out＞
・Thermographic camera is placed at Front Desk.
・Acrylic Protection partition screens are placed at Front Desk to avoid physical infection of the virus.
・To secure Social Distance, please keep at least 1 to 2 meters from other guests while you wait in line.
・Stationaries at Front Desk are sanitized each time after use.
・Hotel information is provided on TV screen in guest rooms in order to shorten the check-in process and to avoid the close contact between guests and staff members. The information is available through your device as well using QR code.
・Express check-out is recommended. Please simply contact Front Desk through the phone in the room.
・Room key cards are sanitized each time after use.
・In addition to our regular housekeeping service, the following “7 top areas” are carefully sanitized: door knobs, lighting switches, telephones, TV remote control, tap handles, arm rails, bathroom floors and walls.
・Amenities such as memo pads, pens, and hotel directory are removed, and are available upon request.
・Disinfectant spray placed in each room, available both for hands and room facilities.
・Disposable slippers are available upon request.
・Frequency of public area cleaning is increased especially around the designated deep-cleaning areas.
・Hand sanitizers are placed at the entrances and all guest access points.
・Acrylic Protection partition screens are placed at Restaurant Entrance to avoid physical infection of the virus.
・Guests are requested to visit Restaurant during less crowded hours.
・Buffet-style vegetable station is not available. Salads are served on plates.
・Ventilation and sanitizing are conducted during the closing hours of restaurants.
・To secure Social Distance, each table or seat) is located at least 1 to 2 meters away.
・Digital menu is available through your device using QR code.
・Cutlery sets will be served in individual packaging, and disposable luncheon mats are prepared.
・In addition to our regular cleaning, the following “4 top areas” are carefully sanitized: tables, chairs, menu books, salt and pepper shakers.
・Dishes, glasses, and cutleries are washed in high-temperature washer machine at 85℃ or more.
■To secure the health and safety of our staff members
・All staff members are provided with the sanitary materials and training of self-hygiene management.
・Staff members at Front Desk and Restaurant are required to wear masks, and face shields are also used in necessary situations.
・All staff members are required to check temperature at the beginning of work.
・All staff members are required to avoid closed and crowded areas even during break times.
・Staff uniforms are replaced and washed frequently.
・All staff members are requested to avoid traveling abroad.
・All staff members are requested to avoid attending gatherings of large groups in closed and crowded spaces.
■Structural features of THE GATE HOTEL
・The hotel is designed with a concept “to feel the fresh air from outside”.
・Roof-top terraces are located on the top floor where you can enjoy fresh air.
・Some guest rooms have windows to take fresh air from outside.
・Terrace seats are available in the restaurants where you can enjoy food and beverage outside.
・All guest rooms are equipped with ventilation to take fresh air from outside.
